- NewEveryday & Math is a new category covering percentage, fractions, ratios, averages with median and standard deviation, date difference, age, time duration, unit conversion, tip splitting and discounts.
- NewThe percentage calculator handles all four forms in one place — what is X% of Y, X as a percentage of Y, percentage change, and working backwards from a part to the whole — because those are the four questions people actually ask.
- NewThe discount calculator shows what stacked offers are genuinely worth. Thirty percent off followed by twenty percent off is a 44% discount, not 50%, and the gap widens as the numbers grow.
- ImprovedDate and age calculations are done in UTC on real calendar months, so leap years are handled correctly and a birthday never shifts by a day depending on where you are viewing from.

- NewTech & IT gains an uptime and SLA calculator that converts a nines target into real downtime and shows how availability collapses when you chain dependencies, plus RAID capacity, file transfer time, password entropy and PC power supply sizing.
- NewBusiness & Freelance gains burn rate and runway, MRR/ARR with churn and net revenue retention, markup versus margin, and sales commission modelling with quotas and accelerators.
- NewInvesting & Savings gains CAGR, CD interest, dividend reinvestment with yield on cost, 529 college savings against tuition inflation, and NPV with IRR and payback period.
- ImprovedEvery one of these is pure arithmetic with no jurisdictional rates baked in, so unlike the retired state tax pages there is nothing here that can quietly go out of date.

The state income tax calculators have been retired.
- DataAll 29 state income tax calculators have been removed. State tax rules change constantly, often retroactively and mid-year, and several widely-published rate tables turned out to be out of date while we were building these — Utah, Idaho and South Carolina all had rates cut after the reference tables were released. Keeping 50 states accurate year after year is not something we can promise, and a tax calculator that is quietly wrong is worse than no calculator at all.
- ImprovedEvery calculator that touches state tax — take-home pay, paycheck, RSU, capital gains, Roth conversion, self-employment and cost of living — still has a state tax rate field you can set yourself. That approach stays accurate no matter what your legislature does, because you are supplying the current rate rather than trusting a number we cached.
- ImprovedThe old state calculator URLs now redirect to the tax category rather than returning a 404, so any saved links still land somewhere useful.
- FixedThe federal standard deduction correction shipped earlier this week is unaffected and remains in place. That fix applied to every calculator that estimates federal tax, not just the state pages.

New Jersey, Virginia and South Carolina, with a corrected South Carolina top rate.
- NewState tax calculators for New Jersey, Virginia and South Carolina. New Jersey models all seven brackets up to the 10.75% millionaire's rate, plus the employee share of the state's unemployment, disability and family leave contributions.
- FixedSouth Carolina's 2025 top rate is 6%, not the 6.2% or 6.3% that most published comparison tables still show. We rebuilt the brackets from the Department of Revenue's own SC1040TT tax table, which reconciles exactly with a 0% band to $3,560, 3% to $17,830 and 6% above.
- DataVirginia's standard deduction was raised for 2025 to $8,750 single and $17,500 joint, and the calculator uses the new amounts alongside the $930 personal exemption.

Twelve more states, including the last of the no-income-tax ones.
- NewNew state tax calculators for Alaska, South Dakota, Wyoming, New Hampshire, Indiana, Michigan, Utah, Kentucky, Louisiana, Iowa, Mississippi and Idaho. That completes every state that does not tax wages, and covers most of the flat-rate states.
- NewIndiana, Michigan and Kentucky now let you enter your local income tax rate, because in those states it is not a rounding error — an Indianapolis resident pays about 2.02% on top of the state's 3%, and Detroit charges residents 2.4%.
- DataTwo rates here are lower than most published comparison tables still show, because the cuts were enacted after those tables went out: Utah is 4.5% rather than 4.55%, and Idaho is 5.3% rather than 5.695% after House Bill 40 applied the cut retroactively to 1 January 2025. Both were confirmed against the states' own sources.
- ImprovedMississippi and Idaho are modelled with their zero-rate first bands rather than as pure flat taxes, so the calculator reflects the point at which you actually start owing tax — around $18,300 of income for a single filer in Mississippi.

Corrected the 2025 federal standard deduction.
- DataThe 2025 federal standard deduction has been corrected to $15,750 for single filers, $31,500 for married couples filing jointly and $23,625 for heads of household. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed in July 2025, raised these amounts retroactively for the 2025 tax year, and the site was still using the earlier inflation-adjusted figures of $15,000, $30,000 and $22,500 that most sources published in late 2024.
- FixedBecause the standard deduction feeds every calculator that estimates federal tax, this had been slightly overstating tax bills — by about $165 for a typical single filer in the 22% bracket. Take-home pay, paycheck, RSU, Roth conversion, self-employment and all state tax calculators are affected and now use the correct figure.

State income tax calculators for twelve more states.
- NewTwelve new state income tax calculators: New York (including the New York City resident tax), Illinois, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Massachusetts, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Florida, Nevada and Tennessee. Each one estimates your federal tax, FICA and state tax together, so you can see your real take-home pay rather than just one layer of it.
- NewThe four no-income-tax states — Texas, Florida, Nevada and Tennessee — get their own pages rather than a shrug. A $0 state bill does not mean a $0 tax bill, so those pages show what you still owe federally and explain where those states make the money back, usually through property and sales tax.
- DataAll twelve use verified 2025 rates and deductions, including Georgia's flat 5.39%, North Carolina's 4.25%, Pennsylvania's 3.07% with no deduction at all, and the Massachusetts 4% surtax on income over $1 million.

Consent controls for visitors covered by European privacy rules.
- NewVisitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set, and can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the Privacy and cookie settings link in the footer.
- ImprovedThe privacy policy now spells out how consent is collected, what withdrawing it actually changes, and why the settings link only appears for the visitors it applies to.

Save any calculator's results as a PDF, Word document, or spreadsheet file.
- NewEvery calculator can now export its results. Look for the Save these results card below your answer and choose PDF, Word, or CSV. The file includes your inputs, the full result breakdown, and the complete table — not just the few rows shown on screen.
- NewPDF is best for printing or emailing, Word is best if you want to edit the wording before sending it on, and CSV opens directly in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets if you want to chart the numbers yourself.
- ImprovedExported files carry the date, a link back to the calculator that produced them, and the same disclaimer shown on the site, so the numbers stay in context if you forward the file to someone else.
- ImprovedThe export tools are only downloaded when you actually click an export button, so pages stay just as fast to load for everyone else.

Install CalcToolVault like an app, and use your recent calculators offline.
- NewCalcToolVault can now be installed to your phone's home screen or your desktop, where it opens in its own window with no browser chrome. On Android and desktop your browser will offer this automatically; on iPhone use Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- NewCalculators you have already opened now keep working without a connection, so a mortgage or unit conversion is still available on a plane or in a basement. Pages you have never visited show a short offline notice instead of a browser error, and everything refreshes the moment you are back online.
- NewAdded an advertising and affiliate disclosure page, linked from the footer and the privacy policy. It states plainly that advertisers never influence a calculator's formulas or results, and that any future affiliate link will be labelled where it appears.

You can now report a wrong number or request a calculator from any page.
- NewEvery calculator page now has a feedback prompt at the bottom. If a result looks wrong or you want the calculator to handle another case, you can say so without leaving the page — and the message automatically records which calculator you were using.
- NewAdded a suggestions section to the home page and a proper form on the contact page. Corrections are prioritised above new work, and the most-requested calculators are the ones that get built next.

A proper brand mark, share previews, and FAQ answers that can surface in search.
- NewCalcToolVault now has its own icon: an equals sign on the brand gradient, used everywhere from the browser tab to the site header. It replaces the stock placeholder favicon and is generated at every size browsers ask for — an SVG for modern tabs, a multi-resolution .ico for older ones, and a 180px touch icon for iOS home screens.
- ImprovedThe header and footer logo now uses the same mark as the browser tab. Previously the page showed a "CV" monogram while the tab showed something else, which read as two different brands.
- NewLinks to the site now unfurl with a proper preview card. Sharing any page on social media, Slack, or iMessage shows a branded 1200x630 image instead of a blank rectangle.
- NewEvery calculator's frequently asked questions are now published as structured data, so the answers are eligible to appear directly in search results. That covers 240 questions across all 97 calculators.
- ImprovedRemoved the unused starter-template graphics that were still being shipped with the site, and added a one-command asset regeneration script so the icons and preview card stay in step with the calculator count.

- ImprovedReworked the landing page pitch. The headline is now "Just calculators. That's it.", and the site leads with what the calculators actually do — full breakdowns, published formulas, editable assumptions, and nothing behind a sign-up.
- ImprovedReplaced the privacy section on the home page with a "what makes these different" section. Broad claims about tracking and data selling have been removed from the marketing copy, since the site is ad-supported and those claims cannot cover third-party ad networks.
- ImprovedThe privacy policy remains the authoritative statement on data handling: calculator inputs are still processed entirely in your browser, and the policy discloses third-party advertising cookies and how to opt out of them.
